Reservation Destination: Fork & Barrel, Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Hey, you guys! Wanted to get this post up before I head to Napa this weekend to spend time with the fam! This was a really exciting post to write (& a little different than I’ve done before) so I hope you guys enjoy it! And I hope everyone is having a killer week! It’s almost FRIYAY! I’m what you would probably call a novice foodie. I’d like to consider myself a true foodie (I’ll get there eventually I think! ? ), but I’m not the best at explaining why certain foods are so good. I pretty much am like.. YES THIS IS GOOD! ? Or, I’m more like.. Ehh I’ve had better ? But I do absolutely love trying new restaurants and foods. In fact it’s one of my favorite things to do. I think it’s such a fun experience all the way around- from the ambiance to the decor…

A Quick Little Getaway: Cincinnati, Ohio

Hola, guys! It’s been a crazy last month for me, but a very exciting one! Over the weekend of the Fourth of July, I got away for a quick day and a half trip to Cincinnati, Ohio. I live in Louisville, Kentucky, so Cincy is only about an hour and a half from me. I’ve been to Cincy many times in the past but this time I saw a whooolleee new side of the city that I’ve never seen before! And guys, let me just tell you… it’s AWESOME! I was so pleasantly surprised by literally everything there and now I can’t wait to go back again and again! To be honest, I didn’t even think about potentially blogging about this getaway because it was just Cincinnati and I’ve seen it a ton of times and I knew what to expect… SO WRONG! Cincy was so full of charm and…

JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa: Photo Diary

Good morning! Hope everyone is having a good Friyay! Cheers to the long weekend ahead! This past week, I had the pleasure of going to the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa for a quick two days of relaxation in the sun. ☀️? This was my first time visiting this resort and I doubt it will be my last! The property here was absolutely beautiful and spacious (seriously, it’s so big!). The scenery surrounding the property was peaceful and lush with the desert, mountains and golf course. There was also no shortage of activities at this resort with golf, tennis, a lazy river and multiple pool options. The weather was HOT while I was there- I don’t care how dry the Arizona heat is, 120 degrees is just HOT. Thankfully there were plenty of pools to dip into! And side note: you HAVE to order the prickly pear…

The Barcelona Bucketlist: What You Don’t Want to Miss in Barcelona

Good morning, guys! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA on here as of late, but I’ve been busy working on some fun things that will be coming to the blog soon and I hope to start posting more regularly now! On a complete side note, I’ve also been doing some self-growth things lately, with one being reading the book, You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero. And WHOA, spoiler alert: it’s a game changer. If you haven’t read it yet, you should probably call in sick to work tomorrow and start changing your life. Ok, ok, enough of that and more about BARCELONA! I hope you guys have an amazing and grateful day! xo Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia in Spain, is a huge bucket list location right now! With everyone flocking to this unique, coastal city and with flights to Barcelona (at least from the States) being super affordable…

The Best Carry On Bags for Traveling

Goooood afternoon, guys! Ok, I am slightly obsessed with bags (any bags at all, I don’t discriminate). Therefore it can sometimes be difficult to actually pick which carry on to take with me when I’m flying. With SO many options of bags out there, it can be overwhelming to narrow down and choose a good one. There are three things I typically look for in a good carry on bag (please note: these are requirements for me when choosing a carry on when I’m also checking a suitcase; if I’m only taking a carry on with me, then the bag and the packing list would be much different): Does it zip all the way closed? This is a MUST for me when choosing a carry on bag because I can’t be worrying about things falling out and rolling around the plane during flight. PLUS, let’s not forget about pick pockets!…

Paragliding in Switzerland: Review of my experience with SkyGlide

Happy Monday! As you might know by know, I’m a huge fan of any type of activity and adventure. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that one of THE BEST activities I have ever done is paragliding in Switzerland! There are so many options for paragliding all over Switzerland and I was honestly not sure when or where to do it when I got there. As far as the location goes, I really don’t think there is a wrong place to paraglide in Switzerland, as the scenery in this country is beyond stunning everywhere you turn. While in Lucerne, I asked the concierges at the Grand Hotel National and they recommended SkyGlide to book with. I called and booked for the same day, which was great for me, because I don’t like waiting 🙂 . The entire experience with SkyGlide was fabulous, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The instructor…

24 Hours in Page, AZ, USA: Horseshoe Bend & Antelope Canyon

Not long ago, I went to Page, Arizona for a quick trip, and, although it is a not-so-easy place to get to, it was so worth it! Getting there: From Phoenix, it’s about a four to five hour drive, depending on traffic and your stops along the way. It’s close to the same distance from Las Vegas to Page as well. There’s really not much to see on the drive, except the beautiful scenery, which changes constantly (if coming from Phoenix), much to my surprise! So keep naps to a minimum! Horseshoe Bend: As you’re driving down the road into Page (if you’re coming from the south), all of the sudden, in the middle of nowhere, there are loads of cars and an unassuming sign that simply reads, ‘Horseshoe Bend.’ You will literally look around and be confused because there is nothing around you that looks like the pictures you’ve…

Just Arrived: The Grand Hotel National- Lucerne, Switzerland

When I first arrived in Lucerne, I was welcomed by an OMG view of the Grand Hotel National from across the lake, as I arrived via the train station. The hotel is only about a seven minute walk from the train station, so I’d definitely recommend the walk depending on your luggage situation, as you walk past the Chapel bridge, a quaint square and along the lake before arriving. Upon arriving in the main lobby, I was greeted by the nicest and most welcoming staff. The front desk staff continued to be so helpful during my entire stay, assisting with directions, reservations, and recommendations. The Room: If the room in the Grand Hotel National could be described in one word, it would be breath-taking. But, let’s be honest, there are many other words that would perfectly fit this sanctuary! The bed was the most exquisite, comfortable, and plush bed I…

Top 10 Things to Do in Lucerne, Switzerland

If you know me, you know how much I absolutely adore Switzerland. Having seen many places in Switzerland now, Lucerne is still the one place I hold very dear to my heart because it was the first place I ever went in this beautiful country. Lucerne is such a charming, quaint town that offers many things to do and boasts some of the best panoramic views I have ever seen (sounds like an advertisement BUT you’ll get it once you see it). Lucerne sits right on the bank of Lake Luzern and is surrounded by the Swiss Alps, with impressive views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi. Many of the things on this list can be done in a day’s time or spread out over a couple of days. I recommend staying in Lucerne for at least two days but maybe closer to four if you have the time. You…
